Owned by Adam Carter, Carters brings more than 25 years of experience in the trade to the homes of Chichester, Arun and West Sussex.
The company also has a direct heritage connection to Charles William Pinkney (1856–1936), Adam’s great-great-great-grandfather. An eminent gas engineer and inventor from Smethwick, Pinkney patented a petroleum engine.

- Designer of the 4-stroke gas engine (c.1889).
- Designer of a “hydro-carbon gas producer” (c.1894).
